Notre Dame de Paris, known simply as Notre Dame is a gothic cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité, in Paris, France, with its main entrance to the west. Notre Dame de Paris is widely considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture. It was restored and saved from destruction by Viollet-le-Duc, one of France's most famous architects.
Construction began in 1163, during the reign of Louis VII and it was finished in 1250.
French novelist Victor Hugo, an admirer of the cathedral, wrote his novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame (titled in French Notre Dame de Paris).

I chose to tell you about "Notre dame", because I think this cathedral is an heritage of the old Paris
and I find it is a beautiful cathedral and it has existed for a hundred years and it is still wonderfull.
